Carla Dixon: Chartered Physiotherapist in Physiotherapy Rehabilitation
Carla is a Chartered Physiotherapist, which mean she is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She is also registered with the HCPC and still works in the NHS.
Carla is a member of specialist interest groups of the CSP (ACPIN and AGILE).
Carla has been qualified for 25 years and has spent most of her career specialising in different areas of rehabilitation.
Carla's areas of special interest are Stroke Rehabilitation and the treatment of Parkinson's Disease. Carla has specialist knowledge in both areas, having completed a number of post- graduate courses in both areas.
Carla is very passionate about neuroplasticity and how movement training can help the brain establish new pathways.
Carla also has a special interest in general rehabilitation and increasing everyone's ability to move and function independently, especially following illness, surgery or in the older population.
Carla is fully insured.
Carla uses evidence based, patient-centred treatment, and participates in regular CPD (continuing professional development).
Outside of work, Carla is a big animal lover and a massive Star Wars geek!
